The landscape that shapes us

During the residency Aaliyah will be creating a world using vr to make the viewer step into a new world where they seek their emotions head on. Research will be taking place into why people bury their emotions and how it controls us even in the subconscious, how it shapes and the surrounding world around us. A variety of tapestries will be created (out of needle felt wool) in different sizes that will be framed around pole structures to represent our emotions framing our mindset. 

Created exhibition art installations and participated in artist talks, and hosted a workshop with children at the Stryx gallery cafe in JQ, where mini tapestries were created out of felt and other mixed media materials.
